License agreement

Read the plain-text agreement ↗
This agreement is between you and RawCgi and governs your use of CurvEngine. By selecting "I accept the agreement", you agree to these terms. If you disagree, cancel installation. If accepting for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to do so.
1. Your License
CurvEngine is licensed, not sold. Subject to these terms and payment where required, RawCgi grants you a non-exclusive right to use it. Each purchased license allows one activated computer at a time. Studios may buy multiple licenses for authorized employees and contractors working on their behalf. Each concurrently activated computer needs its own license. Keys may be given to authorized personnel to manage those licenses, but not shared for independent use by others.
To move a license, open the License window, select "Deactivate this computer" while online, then activate the other computer with the same key. If the old computer or activation records are unavailable, contact support; recovery is not automatic. Do not sell, rent, or sublicense keys, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
2. Lifetime Use And Updates
A lifetime license gives you perpetual use of the purchased version under these terms, with no subscription or recurring license fee. It does not promise indefinite support, future operating-system compatibility, or free future major versions. Included updates or upgrades, if any, are stated separately at purchase. Mandatory update and consumer rights remain unaffected.
3. Free Trial
The trial lasts 14 days from first use. Trial motion-image exports, including PNG, HDR, and EXR, are watermarked and limited to 3,000 pixels on the longest side. HDR/EXR watermarks change image data and may affect lighting in a scene. After expiry, motion rendering and export require activation; project editing and saving remain available. Do not reset the trial, bypass activation, or remove trial watermarks to avoid buying a license, except to the extent applicable law permits otherwise.
4. Your Content And Output
You retain your rights in your images, projects, and output. RawCgi does not gain ownership through your use of CurvEngine. Paid output may be used in personal and commercial work, including client deliverables. You must have the necessary rights to your source material; this agreement grants no rights to third-party content. Trial restrictions still apply to trial output.
5. Permitted Use And Restrictions
You may keep a backup copy for recovery. Do not distribute unauthorized or modified copies, use stolen or improperly shared keys, bypass license controls, or use CurvEngine unlawfully. Reverse engineering, decompilation, and modification are restricted only where the law permits such restrictions. Separate third-party license rights remain unaffected.
6. Activation And Privacy
Activation and deactivation require internet access and availability of the online licensing service. After activation, a saved license record allows offline use. Removing records, changing Windows profiles, or reinstalling Windows may require reactivation or support. Normal uninstall does not deactivate the license. Automatic recovery and a separate offline activation method are not provided. Licenses are not continuously checked for revocation while offline; offline access does not permit use of a validly terminated license.
Images and projects are processed locally and are not uploaded by licensing requests. See the separate CurvEngine privacy notice for details of local license records, activation information, and the service providers involved.
7. Purchases And Refunds
Use the free trial to check compatibility, features, and output before buying. RawCgi does not ordinarily offer refunds solely for a change of mind after delivery of the license. Purchases are handled by our merchant of record, Dodo Payments, under the buyer terms shown at checkout. Refund requests remain subject to those terms and mandatory consumer law, including remedies for defective, misdescribed, or undelivered software and unauthorized payments. This policy does not limit your statutory rights or the merchant of record's authority under its terms. Contact RawCgi for product support and use your receipt's contact details for payment or refund assistance.
8. OWNERSHIP AND THIRD-PARTY SOFTWARE RawCgi and its licensors retain ownership of CurvEngine. Bundled libraries, runtimes, and models have separate licenses in the Licenses folder. Those licenses govern their components and take precedence over conflicting terms here.
9. Warranties And Liability
To the extent permitted by law, CurvEngine is provided "as is" and "as available", without additional warranties of uninterrupted operation, error-free results, or fitness for your workflow. Check results and keep backups. To the extent permitted by law, RawCgi is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or lost data, and its total liability is limited to the amount paid for the license giving rise to the claim. These limits do not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including fraud, or restrict mandatory consumer rights and remedies.
10. Termination And Your Rights
You may stop using CurvEngine at any time. RawCgi may terminate a license for a material breach, subject to applicable law and required notice or opportunity to remedy it. On termination, stop using and remove the software, except copies you are legally entitled to retain. Your content ownership and accrued rights remain unaffected. If a term is unenforceable, the others continue where lawful. Nothing here removes mandatory local protections or access to courts and remedies available under law.
